PRAKTIKUM / Internship

This is an amazing opportunity to join a transdisciplinary practice at the forefront of

architectural design. The Practice portfolio covers every aspect of architecture and design,

ranging from small to large scale projects, research and theory. SIAMAK is founded and

directs by former AA, ETH and GSD.

All successful candidates will need to demonstrate: A passion for the Built

Environment, Motivation and enthusiasm. A strong visual style. A strong design sensibility

with the ability to translate and deliver the design, intent, and to work from conception

through to completion. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent

draughting skills in Mac and PC. Adobe Creative Suite user desirable Flexible.

SIAMAK can only accept a small number of PRAKTIKUM every year, for a minimum period

of 6-12 months. Please indicate in your application the period during which you are

available. It is not possible to have an interview without an application and invitation.

PRAKTIKUM or internship applicants must be students who are currently registered in

University, and who will not graduate before completing the internship. In order to make

international exchange possible we encourage students to get a grant from the

Leonardo/Erasmus programme. Your university should be able to supply you with

information and SIAMAK will support you in your application. If applicable, SIAMAK will

also assist you in applying for a visa for your residence and work permit.

For non-European internship candidates who are interested in applying to our office, recent

changes in Swiss visa permit regulations require these applicants to provide SIAMAK with

an original letter from their University which states that their internship is a compulsory

part of their study, after they have been selected for the internship. Without this letter,

beginning an internship at this office is unfortunately not possible. Visit also www.iaeste.ch
