BELLASTOCK : INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL SINCE 2006

Based in the architecture school of Paris-Belleville, the Bellastock association organizes since 2006, an international architecture festival regrouping yearly 1000 students to construct an ephemeral city.


Each year, the festival proposes to experiment an innovative constructive thematic , keeping in mind the worry of sustainable development.
The festival offers students the opportunity to conceive, build and experience their project. A process of pedagogy by experimentation already present in 12 countries on 4 continents.


BELLASTOCK 2014  << WATERWORLD >> : FLOATING ARCHITECTURES

This year in 2014, Bellastock is proposing the project entitled << Waterworld >>. Two ephemeral floating cities will be built : one in Paris, France and another in Wuhan, China.
An ambitious cultural event that associates architectural creation, artistic event, pedagogy and research around the contemporary ecological problematic.
A project in two times, a confluence of two cultures.

Waterworld France : from May 19th to June 1st Waterworld China : from the 2nd to the 6th of October


CULTURAL DIALOGUE EUROPE-CHINA

The organisation of the two festivals is simultaneously carried out in France and in China. We plan multiple interactions between the two project so to mutually enrich them.

The Bellastock festival in China has the ambition of reuniting 500 european students and 500 chinese students around the creation of an ephemeral floating city. An original way of innovating through culture by promoting exchanges between the two continents.


BECOMING A PARTNER: HAVE YOUR STUDENTS PARTICIPATE

The Bellastock association has partnerships with numerous european schools to have their students participate in these two projects. The partnership functions via financial support calculated by the number of students so as to reduce their registration fee : 100 EURO/student. It is possible to register up to 50 students per school.
We equally solicit the schools to pay the transportation fees of their students.

The Waterworld project is already done in partnership with more than 10 architecture schools in France, as well as with the two architecture schools in Wuhan : HUST and WHU.
